- Digital Dubai provides Eid Sacrifices "Udhiyah" through DubaiNow in partnership with Dar Al Ber.
- The amount collected through DubaiNow reached AED 9.4bn by the end of May 2022
Digital Dubai, in partnership with the Dar Al Ber Society, has announced the launch of its ‘Eid Sacrifice – Udhiyah’ service through the DubaiNow app, allowing users to purchase and pay for their Udhiyah with quick and smooth steps, as well as enabling them to determine the location of the Udhiyah slaughter and distribution, whether inside or outside Dubai. The app witnessed a massive turnout last year, with about 1673 users, who performed their Udhiyah through the application available on the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
“The DubaiNow app provides a distinguished service that enhances the speed of completion of transactions with high accuracy and efficiency matching international performance indicators, and to raise Digital Dubai’s ability to achieve the desired objectives and outputs,” said H.E. Wesam Lootah, CEO, Smart Dubai Government Establishment, part of Digital Dubai.
"The App allows users to benefit from e-government infrastructure in sustaining the development of services by diversifying and facilitating access to such services, to achieve government excellence, and to keep pace with the vision of the integrated digitization of Dubai, as a wide range of users are using the DubaiNow app, which saves time, effort and money." added His Excellency.
"The idea of integrating platforms in Dubai is in line with the strategies of the Dubai government seeking to integrate efforts and facilitate access to government services in Dubai. On Eid al-Adha, Muslims perform the ritual of sacrifice, and Digital Dubai provides this service in partnership with Dar Al Ber through the DubaiNow application, to make it easier for users to perform this ritual easily and safely." Lootah added.
"Users' confidence in the application is increasing everday, as the amounts collected through the application exceeded AED 9.4 billion by the end of May, as the number of transactions reached 17.76 million transactions, with about 885,000 users so far." Lootah further stressed.
Through DubaiNow, Digital Dubai aims to integrate services into one platform that allows users to access all services and perform all necessary transactions. DubaiNow is the first integrated platform of its kind that covers most of the daily needs of Dubai residents, enabling access to more than 131 smart services, with services grouped into 12 categories: Bills, Mobile, Driving, Housing, Residency, Health, Education, Police, Travel, Islam, Donations and General Services.
DubaiNow provides services to government and private entities within a single user experience, adding smoothness and efficiency to Dubai's services. The application allowing access to a wide range of services such as applying for travel reports and sponsored persons reports with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, vehicle registration renewal, and digital business card creation.
Further, DubaiNow allows the payment of DEWA, Etisalat, Du (postpaid and prepaid) and Federal Electricity and Water Authority bills, along with the payment of invoices and recharge of "Salik" and "Nol" accounts, insurance management, vehicle registration, and payment of all traffic violations. DubaiNow also enables access to services of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, verify any title deeds in Dubai, extract Dubai Police's criminal record, and track information of arriving and departing flights through the Travel Services section.
