The Dubai Electronic Security Center concludes its successful participation in the 13th edition of The Gulf Information Security Exhibition and Conference (GISEC Global 2024). Throughout the event, the center's platform attracted significant attention from government and private sector decision-makers as well as experts in the field.

The center’s platform served as a catalyst for the launch of numerous projects and policies aimed at elevating cybersecurity standards and safeguarding infrastructure. Additionally, the event witnessed the graduation of the fourth cohort of the CISO Executive Program, a main component of the CyberNode initiative within the Dubai Cyber Innovation Park.

 

This program is designed to enhance the cyber skills of leaders and decision-makers across the government and private sectors in UAE. Through intensive training courses in cybersecurity, participants are equipped to earn the CISO Executive Program Certificate from The Dubai Electronic Security Center, Thales and CINI.

 

In this regard, H.E Yousef Al Shaibani, Chief Executive of the Dubai Electronic Security Center, emphasized, "We have a clear vision aimed at delivering top-tier protection for the digital infrastructure in Dubai. Our objective is to fortify the emirate’s position as a trusted global hub and a significant contributor to cybersecurity advancement efforts. Proactivity is ingrained in our work culture to ensure uninterrupted business operations and services. Consequently, we prioritize coordination and collaborative efforts with our partners in both government and private sectors, striving for continuous enhancement of digital and cyber security standards and safety in Dubai.

 

H.E Amer Sharaf, CEO of Cyber Security Systems and Services Sector at the Dubai Electronic Security Center, remarked, "Our engagement in GISEC Global 2024 provided us with a platform to showcase our endeavors, which advance along two parallel tracks: fostering awareness of cybersecurity's significance among government entities, business communities, and individuals, and enhancing the skills of personnel to effectively safeguard virtual boundaries and digital infrastructure in Dubai. We anticipate launching further initiatives and events aimed at empowering community members to safely utilize modern technologies and digital solutions.”

 

As the official government advocate for cybersecurity of the 13th edition of the Gulf Information Security Exhibition and Conference (GISEC Global 2024) the center launched six impactful projects. These initiatives include ASAAS, Communications Security Standard, Cloud Security Policy, SOC Security Policy, Iinformation Security Regulation v3.0, and IoT Security Standard v2.0. These projects garnered significant attention and interest from attendees and experts alike.

It's noteworthy that the Dubai Electronic Security Center has maintained its participation in the GISEC Global exhibition for the seventh consecutive year. The event has gained significant importance over the years, and has become a premier global platform in cyber security, as this year's edition has attracted over 750 entities showcasing their innovations to an anticipated audience of more than 20,000 visitors from 130 countries.
