ELECTRICIY & WATER CONSUMPTION
Going green requires measuring water and electricity use first. And in a growing metropolis, city planners need to know consumption patterns so they can account for them. Our big idea was to create an Electricity & Water Consumption dashboard that visualises how these resources are consumed and lets you compare use across buildings or entire communities.
Scope
Build an Electricity & Water Consumption Dashboard that allows comparisons at building level, or across entire communities.
Data used
DEWA data (consumption data), DM data (GIS data) and other government and semi-governments datasets - including from Trakhees, Etihad, and district cooling operators.
Analysis
Cleaning up the collected data and adding an intuitive visual layer on top gives us a dashboard with descriptive and diagnostic capabilities.
Outcomes
A powerful tool that helps city planners better understand how water and electricity are used across the city.
